Am I living in a Kafka Novel ?
Or just some dystopian Sci Fi Novel ...
Perhaps a fun Heinlein Sci-Fi Novel that goes off the rails towards the end as reality disintegrates.
Imagine I wrote a Sci-Fi story about some people that used a “test” which to first order only gives False Positives, and declares a Pandemic. And then they prescribe solutions that go against 100 years of science, and even the most recent science of the past year, and the whole world goes nuts:
Quarantining the whole population (not just the sick);
Having everyone wear masks and anti-social distance (think of the kids!);
Shutting down all schools, bars, restaurants, health facilities, churches, strip clubs, etc., but not the liquor and pot stores or big box stores;
Having all the Mainstream Press put out easily-verifiably-false numbers about the Pandemic and censoring anything questioning the Narrative or deeming it to be “Fake News” or “Fact-Checked-Wrong” or “Conspiracy Theories”;
Politicians wearing TWO masks;
People lining up to get a tested to know whether they are “sick”;
And people clamoring for and lining up for an experimental mRNA vaccine to protect them from this “pandemic”;
People HAPPILY being contact-traced and wanting MOAR;
Most everyone imprisoning themselves in their homes and not have any gatherings, even family gatherings;
People eagerly looking forward to “Freedom Passes” to leave their houses or to travel. All in the home of the free and land of the brave.
If I had written such a SciFi story, no one would believe that it would be possible, no one. They’d laugh at me! Or, I could have “predicted” this all a year ago, and they’d have called me a very crazy Conspiracy Theorist!
Sometimes Reality IS indeed stranger than Fiction!
The Narrative is “Right” because that’s what:
the Authorities say
the Media confirms
and therefore most people Believe
How can you argue with that? You can’t.
When you see me not wearing a Mask, know that I’m not a Conspiracy Theorist, or Protesting anything. I just know they are not healthy. And I also got a note from my doctor: he agrees with me that you can’t smoke with a mask over your mouth. But more seriously, as an Adult capable of Independent and Critical Thinking, I’m trying to set a Good Example. I hope some of you also try setting a good example, especially for your children.
It’s very nice to see some people getting ANGRY (the second Stage [after Denial] leading eventually to Acceptance [where I’m at. Hah!]) Below a few examples of people in the Anger Stage[1]. I love them! Wish there were more!
And, just in case you didn’t hear about it on the MSM, there will be a World Wide Rally for Freedom and Democracy on the Equinox, 20 March 2021. There is probably one of these “Mask-Free-Zone” Rallies close to you, but good luck finding them on Facebook or Google or the MSM:

[1] This guy seems ANGRY to me. Why? Perhaps he has just not yet Accepted. (Look on YouTube for many other of his Commentaries; this guy just won’t let go and Accept!)
Lawyers … maybe their not angry, maybe just hoping to get some fees. I’d rather hope they are out for vengeance.

I still think that rather than burning your masks (which releases CO2) you should put them to work usefully: Use them to cover over your TV and the Pandemic would end instantly. Masks CAN end the Pandemic if used correctly.
