So, I was sitting at my desk a bit ago thinking about doing my Tax Return, and at 13:09, looked up and saw a Turkey, and took her picture, shown below in Fig. 1.
Fig. 1. Female Turkey. I’ll see her (or one of her sisters) again in a little while leading about 15 chicks across my yard. In the fall, a bolt will go through one of her then-grown chicks in the flock for my Thanksgiving feast.
And then, 4 minutes later, at 13:13, really thinking I should start work on my Tax Return, I looked up and saw a coyote, and took its picture, shown below in Fig. 2.

This may be the one benefit of no longer having a wolf companion to distract me all the time.
And then I had one of my Genius Ideas! I could download those picts and write a Substack article and further procrastinate on doing my taxes.
