... and Pot

About Tesla

As I’ve said a number of times before, this is NOT an investment Blog; here we fight Narratives with DATA and Science. But seriously, just look at that plot below … can you spot the one out-of-place data point? (Hint: It’s not just because the font-size of that one DATA point is a bit too large).

Tesla, which sells about 2% as many cars as all the other companies shown, has a Market Cap about twice that of the Market Cap of all those other car companies combined, and also has a P/E of over 100.

I consequently have a large short position on Tesla, just for purely philosophical reasons, i.e., because I think at some point reality matters, not just Stories and Narratives. But maybe I’m wrong, or maybe the Market is not rational. It’s been said that the Market can stay Irrational longer than you can stay Liquid, but in this case, I can, and will, stay liquid and believe, at some point, there must be some rationality in the Market. But maybe I’m wrong. We’ll see. Regardless, I’m having fun.

Now, about Elon Musk

As Al Gore, whom I also love (to hate), Elon is very smart, and a great showman and self-promoter, and has lots of Twitter-Followers, maybe more than Kim Kardashian. And I also admit to liking and agreeing with many things he says and does, e.g.

• Asserting that Twatter (Twitter), in concert with .gov, engages in promoting the “Correct” [I almost wrote “Right”, perhaps I should have written, “Fact-Checked Right”] Narratives and censoring opposing views. Narratives such as the Climate “Crisis”, CoVid-1984, Ukraine, the Recession, anything. Twatter now censors any posting including links from the Epoch Times (besides a whole long list of very smart people questioning Narratives. (Perhaps in a Comment someone might want to add a few names — no pressure to provide a full complete list. Is Julian Assange and Snowden on Twitter?). Yeah Elon!

• I like that he works with other countries (e.g., Germany and China).

• Leaving CA for TX! Yeah Elon! (Though, seriously, is he saying that politics is more important than a beautiful climate?).

• Questioning the CoVid-1984 Lockdowns.

I could do some searches and probably really expand this list of things that make me think he’s a really smart guy (i.e., things that I agree with). For example …

… and Finally, About Pot

The WHOLE WORLD and even our country’s top executives are speaking out Very Loudly about a poor American Athlete (even a female, whatever that is, perhaps even a non-CIS female, whatever that means) being jailed in Evil Russia for breaking their drug laws:

Elon Musk points out, I think quite astutely, something to the effect that if you’re REALLY worried about someone being in prison for breaking some Pot laws, aren’t there something like how many MILLIONS of Americans in American jails for exactly the same reason?

Do I need to say MOAR? I really do think Elon is a pretty smart astute person. Even more, I like him, and not because he’s the richest man in the world and I so admire all rich Oligarchs with lots of Twatter-followers, but rather because sometimes he questions the Narrative.
