The Climate Crisis: Rising Oceans

There are no scary DATA, only scary Stories

One thing we all KNOW is that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is causing the oceans to rise and we’re all going to drown. (That’s why ocean front property can’t even be given away today; the really high-priced property today is at least 1000 miles from the ocean at an elevation of at least 1000 ft above sea level).

This Alarm was first sounded over 30 years ago by the U.N., as shown in Figure 1.

Of course, this never happened and isn’t happening … but, since this is Religion, not Science, the story tellers are never held responsible for their erroneous predictions; rather they are judged by how “alarming” are their predictions, the more alarming the better.

What do the DATA show?

The seas have been rising at a constant rate for a couple of hundred years, as shown in Figure 2, and will probably continue to do so. And, there are no DATA showing that the rise in Sea Levels is caused by or even correlated with CO2, nor that anything we could do would affect the Sea Level rise, nor that the rise we see today is ALARMING.

Of course, the sea level DID rise very quickly at the end of the last Ice Age about 12,000 years ago, as shown in Fig. 3.

BUT WAIT: What about Greenland?

Didn’t Al Gore say the Greenland Ice sheet will melt? There are certainly NO DATA to support this, as shown in Figure 4.

So, while there are no scary DATA, there are plenty of scary Stories and Models, but Stories and Models are not Science.

Even the “predictions” from the latest IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) are not at all scary as shown in Figure 5:

Note again, that none of this is “Science” — Science is comparing Models to DATA: these models only go forwards in time and are NOT tested against DATA. In real Science, the best model would be the one that best agreed with the DATA for the last 200 hundred years (not the “scariest model” or the average of lots of models, none of which has been tested against DATA).

But, even these “scary” models are not very scary … less than a 2 foot rise in the sea level over the next century. But look at how this is portrayed in the Mainstream Media:

Of course, if one today is a politician (or even a “scientist” employed by the government or university) they better not say these U.N. reports are “alarmist”, or they will probably lose their job (below an article I saw just this morning):

As George Orwell said:

I predict that the “Narratives” will continue to reign supreme, and cannot be challenged, even by DATA or real science.
