The Narrative is:
97% of All Scientist Agree that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is Real (and something horrible will happen in the next 10 years if we don’t do some really wild and crazy things today) and that The Science is Settled.
Well, this is just a Narrative, and part of the “Follow-the-Science” AGW Religion. And you can, with Faith and Belief, stand upon this Narrative in the face of any DATA. Below is a good example of how Strong Belief in this Narrative can withstand DATA (If you hate Cruz, that’s OK, watch it anyway — it will just make you love to hate him some more).
Now, below, a Scientist actually investigates this “97%” Narrative to see if there is any truth to it. This Video comes with a YouTube Warning: A link to a Wikipedia Climate Change article, along with the words, “Climate change includes both the global warming driven by human emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large scale shifts in weather patterns”. I have repeated this warning because this might expose you to “dangerous misinformation” and I don’t want to get into any trouble.

So, I would argue, that Narrative always wins over anything, even DATA. Especially when everyone KNOWS the Narrative is Right.
As Michael Crichton said, “If it’s consensus it’s not science. If it’s science it’s not consensus.”
If it’s consensus, it’s almost certainly Narrative, for example:
Having a Blog dedicated to fighting Narrative even armed with Data is about the most Quixotic and Sisyphean a thing that one could do. Or, even perhaps, the most quintessential example of Insanity (repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result — perseveration).
I think we are living in a world where Narrative trumps everything, even DATA. And those that control the Narrative control the world. And, it’s probably always been this way.
