I hate to say this, but the Hoosier National Forest, as beautiful as it is, is still "agricultural land" -- it is a very large 300 square mile tree farm ... it won't be going back to the way it looked 12,000 years ago, a few thousand years after the last Ice Age, when humans first lived in this area.
I stand corrected: when we saw the Grouse we were in the Yellow Wood State Forest ...
