There are a myriad of examples of Doctors losing their jobs over questioning CoVid-1984 Dogma or prescribing Ivermectin.
Here's a recent example re the "Climate Apocalypse" -- A banker did NOT question the Climate Crisis Dogma, only pointed out that it wasn't something investors needed to worry about. He was suspended (and Cancelled)!
Well said. Someone using A fact check for me has become synonymous with a not critical thinker and usually A blue check. These lazy folks outsource their thinking skills to some high school dropouts willing to write anything to stay on the hustle. I'm not sure why we even need writers like that anymore why not just program the AI?
There should be AIs that can write the fact check by now. The price for original creative human resources needs to go up and the price for regurgitated parroted garbage and/or clear preconceived political agenda needs to go down...
About 10 years ago I was going to right a SciFi story about Google: namely, any possible thing you could ask about, you could find an article (the A.I's would write one). And the more you searched or talked about it, the more articles the A.I.'s would write.
Perhaps it's NOT SciFi but reality -- the creation of the Bubble we live in.
AI autowriters are already here I've tested a few. They are very good at writing lengthy descriptive prose of the type that commonly used to be contracted through writers mills for various commercial websites (example headlines include "Why should you visit Maldives?" And "Advantages of steam cleaning your carpets."). The AI is easily able to come up with the boring descriptive facts and rearrange them into non plagiarized sentences ("Maldives has a population of x. The average temperature is x. There are many popular tourist spots including x and x") that suit the needs of the Maldives Tourism Board that contracted for this writing on their website. It's a huge labor saver for this type of text, though it has some janky unnatural lines that are downright funny and do need editing. Don't tell any kid from middle school to college about this their next book report on Benedict Arnold will be a snap. The AI is still terrible at natural conversation type speech (especially dialogue) and truely creative inspirations
But for parroted Covid narratives and regurgitated same old crap reporting of a single statement by Joe Biden, say, I don't know why these losers can't be replaced

I'll add in this funny video that is amazingly still up on GooTube:

Yep. It's gotten to where I almost reflexively think, "If it's been Fact-Checked-Wrong", it might be worth my time to look at it!
And, I sure wouldn't be surprised if there are AI's that alert the "Fact-Checkers" about what to Fact-Check!

Yes, who knows -- you're probably right.
