I give up. Why waste my time. There are SO Many Narratives – and it is useless to challenge anyone’s Belief (Religion), and it’s a complete waste of time to fight a Narrative, even with DATA. But I’ll probably continue to perseverate, but not today.
So, today, what about “how wonderful Winter is!’ Especially with fresh snow on the ground —
If there is a bright full moon, you’ll see a gazillion gems and sparkles in the fresh snow; and
you can walk through the forest at night without a flashlight (especially if it is clear and there is a moon [Bonus!]; (but on the other-other hand, it sure is fun to turn on my tiny 10,000 Lumen Chinese LED diver’s flashlight (the equivalent of six 100 W incandescent bulbs, and focused) and turn night into day !); and
ANYONE can see all the animal tracks. I’ll show a few pictures below of tracks on “my” path on “my” land. Presently I am being invaded by squirrels, rabbits, deer, coyotes and turkeys.
Below is a picture of a coyote and wolf print.
Towards the bottom of the above picture you can see two Canine prints side-by-side; the one on the left from a coyote, and the one on the right from my wolf, Nashoba. They are easy to tell apart: the coyote print is half the size of the wolf print; and you can also see the wolf is old and geriatric or injured, dragging his paws rather than picking them up nicely as does the coyote.
Yep, we get lots of coyotes around here. I often here them at night doing their yelping, they can make quite a racket. Below are two short (about a minute each) audio clips of coyotes if you don’t often get to hear them and want to:

Now that Nashoba is geriatric, I worry a bit more about the coyotes. My philosophy is that this is their home, the National Forest (adjacent to my property), and, what the hell, live and let live. Once when they were making a racket at night I went out and shot one round into the air (all animals are afraid of gunshots). But a day or two later at night when they were again making a racket, Nashoba was calmly laying on the back deck without a care in the world, so I thought, why disturb Nashoba and all the other animals in the neighborhood? If Nashoba’s not worried, why should I worry? He had a run-in with one during the day not so long ago, so I do worry, especially if there is a big pack of them.
I’m also getting invaded by Turkeys (see picture below):
They can really startle you when then is a bunch of them roosting in the trees and you walk by and startle them — they also make a hell of a racket with their wings !
Oh, and one other good thing about Winter: there’s no ticks nor chiggers !
I recorded those Coyote songs for which I gave links (Substack doesn't seem to have the ability to imbed audio files) and also took those pictures on my Huawei that I got off of E-Bay.

I miss the snow...a little. But I'd miss the sun and warmth more... :) Give Nashoba a hug for me...
Don't give up! I'm interested.
