The Mayor of Moscow (Russia) instituted a "Vaccine Mandate" requiring all people to have a QR code to go into stores of restaurants. The people there killed it in 3 weeks by:

-- flooding the city with fake QR codes

-- the non-Vax'd and Vax'd alike BOYCOTTED any business enforcing this Mandate.

The folks in Moscow are showing the folks in NYC what they should be doing!

So, after about 18 months the Bloomington Duplicate Bridge Club will again start play.

But you must show proof of Vax and Wear a Mask!

I always thought bridge players were "smart" -- for a bunch of smart people they have sure drank the Kool Aide!

I guess I will never be a Life Master (as was my Mom) now! And I really thought that might look good on my Obituary!

Some people may say, "hey, it's good to get along by going along" and the lock-down are harmless. Not so --

e.g.: https://nypost.com/2021/08/13/babies-born-during-covid-19-pandemic-have-lower-iqs-study-says/

and

They can only "do" these lockdowns because people follow their non-sensical illegal mandates.

I really don't like the implications in your post.

Passive resistance is fine; active mischief is not acceptable (i.e., it's not being polite). I think we need, at this time, to go out of our way to be as polite and respectful as we can.

Well, worse-comes-to-worse, I can always move, or more precisely, take a nice long extended well-deserved vacation in a "Free State" [e.g. FL or TX] as the Equinox will be here in exactly 1 month. And I will spend my money in those places and enjoy more sunshine and warmth! Maybe do some scuba-diving and fishing in the Keys. And then there is always Mexico! And Nicaragua looks interesting too! At elevation in Matagalpa, for the entire year the lowest average low is 63 oF, and highest average high is 83 oF !

Even better than Ajijic Mexico!

I believe, in time, people will wake-up and stop going along with all the nonsense. I'll wait them out. Of course, that time may be way after I'm dead!
